Results are in for the SS from Trifecta Performance
Dyno chart for the 2008 Cobalt 2.0 SS/TC is completed. The Trifecta Performance Tune raised from 249WHP to 301WHP and brought the torque from 260TQ to 334TQ. Gains of 52 HP and 74 TQ. Boost levels have been raised from 16-18 psi to about 21.5 psi.
Vince expects close to the same results on the HHR SS/TC.

Those are very impressive numbers Tom, and beautiful curves. Holding top-end power like that has only been accomplished by a few tuners. If the cobalt is stock, I think that's a new tune only fwhp record.
With that said, I do have some questions.
What modifications were done to the SS/TC that did that dyno run?
What software was used to create the tune?
What kind of dyno was used?
Why the short redline as compared to other tunes?
Also, playing devils advocate, I have to point out that the stock tune run was done almost exactly three minutes after the tuned run. The stock run may have been better if the car had time to cool down.

I didn't know much about Trifecta until this thread. I just checked out their website, and I am now very, very curious as to what exactly he has unlocked with the HHR SS ECU. To my knowledge Wester's and HPT are the only other customizeable tuning options, and it is rumored that Wester has unlocked tables that HPT has not.

where was this done??? stock boost levels are higher than us sealevel guys. on a stock car in houston, with good conditions,15psi is the max. summer time 18psi because of the bosch trying to maintain stock power levels.
looks good though.

what is the a/f ratio on that run, the dyno sheet is too small to see.
in the other thread it says you can go back to stock if going to the dealer. does this come with a tuner and how much $ for the tune? how does this compare to the gm stage upgrade?

It is an additional expense. It is currently on sale through Tom for $438 shipped. Not sure what the regular price is.
What comparison are you looking for with the GM Stage kit? Not sure I can speak on it as I do not have the GM stage kit... But I can try...
