Best option for making more power and staying in warranty
Well It will be a while before I can go ahead and afford a performance upgrade for my SS Auto
I have been reading alot and asking you guys on this so I figured I would put a quick thread together.
What is the best possible thing for me to do performance wise in the future
I have a 3 year 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty I bought.
It sounds like the gm stg1 is the way to go and still stay under warranty?
But is it really considered voiding the warranty if a hptuner was hooked up and modified the car (I assume in the same way that the gm Upgrade does).
Would it be detectable to Gm.
Guess I am just looking to get the most performance without voiding the warranty, I guess I already know the answer?
I would really like to see a before and after difference though
I have also read that some get the gm upgrade and then later use a hptuner?
What about the superchips deal where you plug it in and you can just click on a performance setup.
Like I said I do not want to void the warranty,Heck I am still trying to get the alignment in specs by gm. And that seemed to be a no brainer fix.
Still hoping to post some positive results on that soon.

THAT is probably not what you were thinking about!!!
As for your original question, it depends on what you were asking the dealer to do. Going in for an oil change won't lead them to believe you've raised your rpm limit and changed your fueling tables, for example. I think it's likely they wouldn't know at all if there were no other supporting mods done to the car, or if you weren't asking them to read your codes or re-flash it or something. Mods like a straight-through exhaust, well, you're going to be on your own...
Some of those tunes can be switched on and off, too. It might be possible to "de-tune" before a visit... Not that I'm recommending anything. It seems it COULD be done, though...

I have a 2009 2LT with a 2.4 and 60,000 miles. I have he 100,000 mile warranty and am having a Trifecta tune done in October. Pretty much undetectable by service unless specifically looking for it. I've been preety lucky (knock on wood) with mine and have not really had much problems as far as warranty or drive train work goes.
