choosing an aftermarket clutch
Just FYI if you want to replace the throw-out bearing you beter own one before you tear it apart.... The dealers have none....Well for the LSD transmission they didnt... Mine looked ok but I wanted to be for sure....Had to order from Detroit....May be here wed. and guess what i leave wed....I had it towed over to Secret Services Auto to be finished up while im gone....SPEC doesn't supply or even have one
Well just FYI...I tried and SSA tried...went to the dealer there's 4 different Throw out bearing #'s so they need the VIN # to make sure you get the right throw out bearing....So the one ordered is the correct one and it will arrive tomorrow....Part # for my SS is a 24242805 $136.74 And IT IS different from the other HHR's SPECIAL ORDER ONLY
My Spec + Spec flywheel didn't come with one either.
The GM HHR SS TOB is this one?

Just making sure man, because thats listed on the Cobalt SS site for the LNF TOB.
Your talking about special order for the HHR SS, etc., its a little bit confusing when in reality the Cobalt SS/TC uses the exact same one.

Not an issue... I called 4 dealers the other day and no dealers in Houston had the Throw Out Bearing for the HHR SS in stock... we went and got a throw out bearing for a HHR and IT IS DIFFERENT. so we had to overnight one from Detroit....and the part number is the correct # for the SS 24242805...
Thanks for your diligent help....
Be back on the road hopefully Wed...
