Dejon Intake Tube

Anyone notice a difference between the dejon intake tube and the stock airbox? Just trying to get a feeler before i tune. Heard some good, some bad.

I have never owned one but theoretically it sucks in hot air. might not mean much with the intercooler. and you get a free bump with my useless info

It will let you pull in enough air to raise the fuel trims by ~20% over stock and sounds pretty cool. You can make some good power when already rolling thanks to the extra air. Some folks report inconsistent results with it. (CEL, especially if no tune) You'll see about +10* intake temperatures. If you run it when it is stupid hot, the engine will start pulling timing based on the IAT. (unless you tune it not to) Why do I know all this? I have one. I'm toying with the idea of selling it and putting the funds towards Airlift bags for my rear springs.

I have the ZZP intake and I get the IAT errors all the time with it. Course, I live in FL where its hotter n blue hell too. I have used HPtuners to even out the fuel trims but haven't done anything other than clear the codes. Maybe I need to address those with James when he writes my tune...

Another solution is their lower CP and MAF relocate. I was going to do such, but I went back to a stock lower and intercooler, and just retuned on stock MAP's.

However since my last tune all my codes had ceased, kind of nice and impressive on an LNF.

Glad you posted here joe. Had a ? But did not want to flood your "for sale" thread with such. With that lower charge pipe ,with the MAF relocate, would I be able to just slap that on my SS without tuning for the new map sensor placement. Do you know? Want to relocate the MAF in the future but prolly not for a while.

You can't relocate the maf without a tune because the is going to see psi and well flip out you'll be in limp mode all the time when you try to boost. Just install the pipe and put the block off plate on for now.

Lol. Read it again rob. I understand relocating the MAF without a tune is a BIG no no. The ZZP lower charge pipe also also changes the placement of the MAP sensor. Want to install the pipe with the MAF pad blocked off (since i will be keeping the MAF on the intake for now) but im not sure if a tune will be needed for the new MAP sensor location.
