Forge vented BPV guys.

I ordered an atmospheric BPV a couple days ago. I know I'll have to get my tune adjusted to accept the new bypass valve. My question is, should I datalog it before I install the new valve and then install the updated tune and the valve at the same time? Or, will I need to datalog it with the new valve on for Trifecta to make me a new tune? Any experience/wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Yea I have one, asked Vince for a tune for it, he says take it out.

If you don't relocate the maf you can't tune for it. Because it is releasing metered air.

Have you had issues with it throwing codes since your car isn't tuned for it?

I can't tune for it, without a relocate, it does nothing for performance, just goes piissstttt. It's back in the box, guess I should sell it.

How do you like the sonic, Vince has a tune for it.

Sounds like I may have made a mistake by buying this bypass valve. Maybe I should have just gotten the recirculating one.

The Sonic is awesome. I really don't think you can beat it as far as buying a new car goes. It performs decent for what it is and there isn't much else at that price point that comes with as many options as the Sonic.

Well, I went ahead and installed it today. It sounds pretty good. Hopefully I get my new ECP tune sent to me before it throws a code.

Well, If all you wanted was to hear a whooshing sound, there were other ways on getting it. Like a non vented forge vavle[that don't throw a code]. "Moon"

Yeah, I know. I like it, but I haven't decided yet if I would have rather had the non vented one. Hopefully BNR gets back to me soon with the new tune. I emailed them my data logs 5 days ago and still haven't even gotten an email saying that it had been sent off to Trifecta yet.

Sure. I'll try to get a video posted later. It's crazy windy right now. Hopefully it will die down later so I can get a video with decent sound.
