HHR SS Exhaust System

Hi HHR Network,

My first post here...I would like to know if someone has any recommendations as to which aftermarket brand Exhaust System is better for durability, sound, and performance? Based on the post there seems to be several systems to choose from...any feedback you can give me would be great!

Borla
Magnaflow
ADM
Hahn
etc.

Thanks,

Sooner SS

Just FYI, ADM is local to you in McKinney. I am from Allen, welcome to the site, and in your spare time, find me a job over there so I can get back to that area! lol Frisco would be nice. Go to the Ricekiller meets there in Frisco? I used to go when I was there, some nice cars show up out there.

I have the Hahn system installed. Check out my gallery for pics of the install and vids of soundclips during my dyno run.

The dyno figures were for the car with the stage 1 kit installed, or without the kit? How many HP did you gain with the Hahn exhaust?

Those numbers are w/ the Stage kit and Hahn exhaust installed. As far as how much extra hp the exhaust adds, I figure between 6-10 hp. There should be more left on the table, especially the torque figures as the guy couldn't find a perfect "sweet spot" to do a full, clean run. That and honestly we pulled ALL the ABS fuses since no one on this site has said EXACTLY which of the 3 fuses is the magic 'traction control fuse' we need to pull to get a clean pass on a dyno !! And again, mine is the auto so if anyone has the 5 speed your numbers will be higher.

i've got the ADM catback with the Magnaflow muffler, and i honestly love the sound of it. it apparently has the perfect blend of volume and rumble. i barely notice it inside the car while driving, but everyone seems to know when i'm coming, not from the volume, but the rather distinct rumble to it. kind of the same idea of you don't need a subwoofer to be loud to know it's working, you can feel it even when you can barely hear it.

AMD is a very good exhaust. I have had mine for a year. The only thing I would do is weld it up after you get it installed.

They all make the same power but the sound is the only real difference

Is he still selling HHR parts? He was trying to sell his HHR and he's disappeared from the message boards.
