I'm really sorry that your going through this and want to get involved. Could you please private message me your name, address, vehicle identification number, and current mileage? Also the details about what you are going through and the dealership your working with.

Thank you,

Jessica L.

Pending P0101...

I know the feeling. Last year, after many visits to address a boost problem, the dealer FINALLY fix it (they found loose connection causing a boost leak), and the fix lasted for about 5,000 miles. The car recently lost boost and no power while on the freeway and throwing P0101 and P0106 codes. So, I figured it was time to solder the lower MAP sensor wires. So, I did that given I'm now out of warranty. For a little insurance, I moved the lower IC pipe farther away from the AC compressor, and installed the TTR motor mount.

The car has been running great and easily producing GMTU-level boost until this afternoon. I was slowly pulling away from a signal light when the engine felt like it died. It didn't die, but it had very little power but no engine light. I was eventually able to drive it home. It got a pending P0101 code.

So, here I go again. Although, I really enjoy the car when it works right, I wish the car never had the GMTU...

You have to hold the pipe away, sounds like yours hit it again. I think a new wireing harness and a reflash will take you back to perfect stock. Dealer told me 300.00 labor to do it.

Wish I had a answer for you Big Jack, I hope Jessica will be able to get more attention on it. You go girl......

Here is one way to do it rlee63a4

SS fan, I'd like to think that's not the problem since I about doubled the clearance between the sensor/wiring and the AC compressor by moving the cold side pipe farther forward, and I installed the TTR motor mount to reduce the amount to engine movement. Whatever's going on at the moment is intermittent. The car drove as it should yesterday evening after a cursory physical check of the pipes for any obvious cracks/splits/leaks. I plan to check for a boost leak this weekend.

Hopefully everything is all good now.
Gm Tech dept confirmed what I have been told the newly put in hot side pipe that was leaking could easily and more than likely cause the problems that I was having, a new one was put in and it is running great.

I am betting that if you spend about $5.00 or less at home depot or lowes and
get a 1-1/4" 90 degree pvc elbow and 1-1/4" plug glue in one end with pvc and drill out that end to put in a air compressor hose fitting so that you can check the boost.
I am betting you have a boost leak upper pipe near the connections from hard plastic to
rubber. I am betting that most do leak in these areas just that some are not leaking enough to cause this issue.
I figure if I can go a week without throwing a code and still running as strong as it is
this issue will be behind me unless this pipe decides not to hold up to the boost but it is new and looks a little better made than the last New old stock one that was put on.

thank God for my new dealership helping me through this as far as my old dealership I would have traded it in for a F$&#D by now and I am a chevy guy.
My only advice to anyone dealing with this or any other issues is to listen to the great advice on here and if you feel your dealer is not helping you out try another dealer.

You may be right about that, bigjack. As I was checking out my pipes yesterday, I noticed the clip to the bracket for the hot-side pipe is gone allowing the pipe to move around and possibly opening and possibly closing a gap/leak at that interface, thus the intermittent nature of my current boost problem...or maybe not. Regardless, I'm going to stop by Chevy and get that part. I'm thinking the dealer accidentally left it off while they were troubleshooting the boost problem I had last summer.

If yours is s standard they had s recall for a different size stud there is it the rubber grommet missing
I am just guessing once you pressure the system.
I would remove oil filler cap and disconnect pcv valve first I think when you spray some soapy water you will find a leak.
Guessing its doing what mine hopefully will not do anymore.recently mine would go into limp mode and run rough shortly after getting just a little boost.

Unhappy well its back again limp mode just wont stay away

Its back cruising along on the highway at 65 or so*The car stumbled and threw a p101 maf sensor pending code andP106tmap pending code went into limp mode ran rough pulled over due to it running rough.Keyed off waited 10 seconds started up still roughWaited a minute and started and ran better but not as good as it gas beenWas not data logging since mechanic said not to use torque app may be the problem well*That proves it was not the torque app.Anyhow.New tmapNew plugsJust put in new o2 sensor upstream andNew maf andNew hot

pipe since last was leaking. What's next*Any ideas

I did a ton if research on this late last night.
Seems almost as if more Pontiac solstice owners have this issue than us.
And there tmap s are no where near hitting anything
My lower tmap has probably 4 times the clearance than necessary since I did the 180 degree flip actually its impossible to be hit there is so much room.
Tiny bit if oil film on upper tmap sensor.
That's it.
