215 across the board isn't too bad. That puts you near the 290 hp at the crank figure (286.66 hp by my math). Did you have premium in the tank? Did the shop have a fan running in front of the car at the dyno? Those things help too.

Always have premium in the tank. There was a fan, but the dyno was outside at a car show in the 90+ degree sun, so that didn't help much either I don't think, even with the fan.

OK that makes sense. It was around 65-70* and fairly cool when I dynoed my car. Granted the fan they use at that shop creates a 65mph wind too... I say re-try, pull the fuse(s) once we find out WHICH correct one to pull and see what the output is!

what % of lose did you use on avg auto trans looses 15 to 17% and manual 5 to 7%

so an auto the stage kit should be around 235 to 245 roughly.

?????

the diff between 215 and 286 is about 26%

The guys at the dyno I went to used a 25% reduction which is what I based my calculations off of (215hp + 25% = 286.66666 at the crank). Even using the standard ratio of 18% loss for an automatic, based on the GM figure for the Stage kit (290hp, 315 lb/tq @ the crank) he should have been at around 237.8hp, and 258.3lbs/tq @ the wheels. That's why I asked. If he did the pulls in stagnant, hot, ambient air and didn't pull any fuses, the hp won't read correctly and be as high as it should be (same with me and the reason I started this thread). My math may not be spot on, but I'm sure you get the idea. :-D

Ok. I'll chime in. The first pull I did stock was around 188hp. Then with the GM kit installed I still pulled the same #'s. Until I hit the t/c button twice to go into comp mode and engaged the e-brake. Ebrake should disable stability. Then the #'s went to 232hp. Good #'s for an auto minus % of loss through drivetrain. I installed HPtuners Yesterday and a very open exhaust. #'s went to 275hp and equal torque. With the HPTune you can tune out the stability. Before the motor stopped making power at 5500rpm. Now it stops at around 6300. The limiter is set at 6700. If your having issues with the pulls. Engage the ebrake and go to comp mode and stay in 3rd gear.

My 09 freaks out if I try to burnout with the e-brake on, so I would think it would do the same on the dyno, no? I had my comp mode on when I did my pull, btw.

Thanks for the info turbotech. (So an aftermarket tune CAN be done on top of a Stage upgrade? Interesting). Back on topic. Via PM's, it's been narrowed down to either the 40amp or 20amp fuse that's the "magic bullet" that needs to be pulled for the dyno run. So, who wants to contribute to the "send Asanti back to the dyno" fund!? . I'm sure another pass would net higher figures now knowing what I know. Don't get me wrong, having over 300hp and 310lb/tq at the crank is great, but of course, I want more...

I would really like to know as well. Mine would pull past 2850rpm. I tried turning ecs all the way off and pulling the e-brake, I didnt know which fuse to pull so I couldnt make a run past 2850.

It made 238whp and 436tq but I want to see what it really makes....

Can somebody at least post a link to the thread about how to make a dyno run with an auto ss? I searched and cannot find it.
