you're one of the lucky ones i was talking about then.

for those that do have issues, a custom tune or going back to factory filter is the cure.

That new controlable launch control sounds cool but I think it's for auto's your launch control is your foot and rev limiter right ?

If you have to convince yourself that there is a performance gain then is it really worth $50?
P.S. Gonna peel that K&N sticker off also...
500 Mile Update!

Installed the NAPA Gold filter (made by WIX I've heard) and have had no CEL's or "retarded mode" since. Still don't always get full boost when nailing it at highway speeds but I think that issue is unrelated to the filter. Will check the MAF connections when the weather breaks.

So just for kicks and it needs cleaning I took out the K&N and put the stocker back in First couple of accelerations was doggy must have been learning. It sounded like some one put their hand over the mouth. After running it a while it seems to pull 20lbs better and longer so I'm leaving it least till I get a chance to run it on the hiway it was hitting 80 in second had to lift on the little side streets, and it was still pulling. So I'll update tomorrow.

Thinking about this some more I just dont see K&N allowing more air and messing with the fuel curves....Its only air(now if it were fuel AND air..),,,the sensors read this air,,,the boost pressures relay the same info...the injectors inject according to these numbers...unless the boost pressures are way above normal, it just cant happen. Its still only going to boost at a preset level and only going to inject so much fue accordinglyl... it doesnt matter what kind of air flow you have on the atmosphere side of the turbo...so, that leaves only one thing left...oil contamination...may not be much, but then these sensors are so picky it wouldnt take much to screw em up,,,bet without a magnifier you wouldnt even be able to tell by the naked eye its contaminated....

Will a dealership do the custom tune? And will it mess with the warranty? I am having the problem also, but would rather get the tune than switch filters. Any idea what they charge for a custom tune?
