Local dealer told me they weren't interested in installing stage kit???

Called the closest dealer to me and they basically told they weren't interested in installing any performance/upgrade kits so they couldn't give me a labor estimate. Need to find a dealer that's not afraid to install GM upgrades....

I had a dealer tell me the same thing, went to another dealer.

Oh and the 1st dealer lost their GM franchise.

Ended up calling NuCar Chevrolet in New Castle Delaware. The guy was pretty cool, said they've down a handful of them. Estimated about $180 for the install.

That's about right on the money for a labor charge.

It floors me that some dealers don't understand the basics of customer service.

Maybe the job is a pain in the a$$ and/or maybe they even lose a few dollars on it - do they not see any value in making a customer happy?

The closest dealer to me told me 380$ a couple days ago. I have 3 other dealers to check now.

I just came across the same thing in Fredericksburg, VA. I'm checking with other dealers.

Second that. My local dealer charges a flat rate of 2hrs. My neck of the woods is a little more expensive because of the regional pricing (100 per hr). But there's no surprises and they've been over the road for all stage kits (i.e. supercharged Cobalts; turbocharged Cobalts/HHRs).

Try Win Kelly in Clarksville MD. 1.5 hours labor cost which I think worked out to either $163 or $173 bucks.
