The continuous operating temperature rating for PVC is around 140 deg F, and for CPVC about 200 deg F. Underhood temperatures can get a bit higher than even 200 F, so I think that would rule it out.

I Was In Napa (auto Parts Store)
the other day. i asked them about a special tool to change my oil filter. i think i read on this site that the tool was required or very useful and available at napa. napa says they have no such tool , and a mechanic on the phone with 1 of the salesman also says a special tool is not necessary. i need some more input. 
oh , while i was there i noticed a whole section with all different types and pieces/parts for fabrcating cold air intakes!!!
i thought they looked pretty nice and priced very reasonable , especailly compaired to some i have seen. -$250 for a 4in piece of aluninum tube !!!! WHAT THE ^%$#@!!!!!-
i think every part at NAPA was $50 or much less!!!!!!!!! 
i am thinking of trying to make one from the napa parts.

sorry , i don't know if you can find it at thier site. you could try. is napa not nationwide? i really could believe how much aftermarket stuff they had in that store. next time i go i'll try to remember the manufacturers , look them up , n try to post.
