Nitrous??

Anyone know if our motors can handle a 50 shot, with stock internals?

Really curious about this. It could, I think give me that extra half second I keep looking for.

Could? Possible. Repeatedly? Probably not.

Just make sure you bring a basket, in case you make the motor mad. "Moon"

Yeah nitrous plus forced induction can be a pain to tune plus it adds stress. Does anyone here run a methanol or water injection on their intercooler?

A few guys were spraying meth into the intake.

CO2 is an option, but I don't think it will play nice with the crappy plastic stock IC endcaps, and I would like to think constantly heating and cooling the aluminum would lead to cracked welds, since the density is drastically differnt

Yeah that's a big issue any weak points get brought out with power adders. I'm sure the engine itself could handle the nitrous but any supporting parts and hardware could fail easier which could lead to having a pile of slag where your motor used to be. I don't have much forced induction experience all my personal vehicles have been na. I've got a 150 wet shot on my truck I race but its my only power adder and its on a built motor. I know the 1zzs I had in my vibes didn't do well with nitrous stock intake manifold was plastic......=/. And I've got a 06 C6 with auto and z51, and its full bolt on and tuned but not attempted nitrous on it. I wonder of anyone on cobaltss.net is running nitrous could check there

x2

We have put nitrous on all kinds of carbureted apps a couple of fuel injected apps
even put on our mini pit bike for jokes years ago.
but onto a turbo with the tuning I think would be tough
Meth injection I think would be a huge plus
couple of big companies out there using them
you can go to Yellowbullet.com under the turbo section lots of info there on the meth injection and you can ask the people using it

I think a wet 35 shot would be just fine but I would tune for it of course. Wouldn't it be better if you used a dry shot before the turbo to help it spool quicker?
