Pulled the trigger on the Stage kit turbo upgrade

A Gm parts dealer that I have done business with in the past was having a 10% off sale so I decided to spring for the turbo stage kit...

Now I just have to decide what dealer to take it to....

Hope you also got the plug-in harness to go with the kit. It is not advised to use the old kit that required splicing.(too many problems with the splicing methods)
Also be very sure that the installing tech knows to "trim" the tab on the lower T-map sensor. ( Another common install mistake)

The plug in harness seems to only be available from that one specific dealer (crateenginedepot.com). It isn't even listed as a part from GM.

Thanks for the other info, though. I will be sure to tell the installer.

the plug and play harness is a must for sure with the upgrade. To many horror storys about cutting and splicing. I think the harness is around $100....WELL WORTH IT

Yeah, the harness is $100 by itself. I think the only place you can get it is from crate engine depot as the part # is not even recognized by GM's database.
I guess it is something that they designed themselves.

Like I stated above, getting the plug-in harness is your best bet. I wouldn't even attempt the install without it. Too many problems with the original kit that required splicing.
I got my kit last year from CED on special. Buy the kit, the harness was free. $495.
Now. If you can get a dealer to do the install and reflash for under $200, your doing good.

Another thing to remember. If you go with the splicing option, you can't go back later and get the plug-ins. Once you cut the wires, they will be spliced.Trying to add the plug-ins after splicing, will result in mismatched connectors.
You would have to replace the entire harness to do this.

Good advice above it may be cheaper to return or cancel your order on the kit from your local dealer.and then buy the plug n play kit from ced you will save close to a $100.00

No , The GMTU is one price , The new connectors are another .
Only available from Tom at C.E.D. (That shops design)
Nice to only be an hour away, But i have cut that down to 29 min.
They just dialed in my SS . Tom and his Wizard fixed what another dealer told me was fine . And could not find a problem in 4 days , Rockenbach fixed in 3 hours.

Batman, if you are referring to my post, I was just stating that I got in on a CED special last year. I bought the kit and the harness' were free at that time.
