Question regarding replacing downpipe

I want to install the modified downpipe on my SS this weekend, but wondered if I’m going to need replacement gaskets or if the ones currently on there will be reusable. Some yes, some no?

If I'm most likely going to need them, I’d prefer to wait until I can buy them and have them ready to go rather than be stuck (duh).

Anyone done this and have a feel for what I should expect when removed?

As a note, the car is currently unmodified and only has 32K on the odometer.

x2 - and hit the existing nuts/bolts with some penetrating oil in the meantime to let it work it's magic.

Cheap to replace and not worth the hassle if you get a leak shortly afterwards. When I replaced my cat, i kept the old gaskets just in case. But installed the new ones on install.

And you can do this on ramps.

No gaskets. It's a modified stock unit I purchased from someone on the forum.

I wanted one to "play" with so I didn't ruin my perfectly good, low mileage, stock converter with my attempt a "coring" the second cat.

What kind of differences have you noticed between the stock DP and a Cored Cat2 DP? Noise, power, CEL???

I've been dealing with a problem and haven't been able to find the fix yet.

I haven't installed it yet. I'm trying to leave everything stock until the problem is resolved.

I'm hoping I get to move onto some modifications before the summer's up. At this rate, I'm not sure.

I did a hi flow cat DP from ZZP. I ordered the collector gasket from the dealer because the bolt pattern is larger than a standard 3". I only had to cut off 1 bolt, the rest came pretty easily with penetrating oil. I was at 138k, I reused the factory gasket because I intend on doing a full stainless 3". When I do it I'll use the new gasket.

Seeing as how to work at summit, I'd say you can probably get what you need there. Dealer was 25 bucks for the gasket!

So what's the underlying problem? If ya don't mind.
