Removing stock airbox on SS

Removing stock airbox on SS
Hi all,
I would like to remove the stock air box on my SS. But i notice that the box has the tube with the wiring built into the backend of the box, What would i have to do to add that plug into a differant tube ? As the box is interfering with were i want the airfilter ( directly under scoop opening ) I know i could cut the box , But rather remove it. Any help as always greatly apprciated.

That's your MAF. You need it, and placement _can be_ touchy. Sprectre makes a "universal" (which means it doesn't actually fit anything) MAF tube that you should be able to fit your sensor to. Best bet is to fab something.
