Stage 1 Question

The text about the LNF upgrade reads as follows:

Applications and estimated power figures include:
Cobalt 2008-2010 HP & Torque ratings:
•280HP @ 4,700 RPM
•320 lb,-ft of torque @ 4,300 RPM
•Kit disables "learn down feature"
•"No Lift Shift" Feature

Solstice SKY HP & Torque ratings:
•290HP @ 5,200 RPM
•MT 340 lb,-ft of torque @ 3,600 RPM
•AT 325 lb,-ft of torque @ 3,600 RPM
•"No Lift Shift" Feature

HHR HP & Torque ratings:
•290HP @ 5,200 RPM
•MT 315 lb,-ft of torque @ 4,800
•AT 315 lb,-ft of torque @ 4,800
•"No Lift Shift" Feature

As you can see the HHR seems to get shafted on torque. Power and torque on the HHR comes at higher RPM than the Sky/Soltice and Cobalt SS. And the CSS gets ten less HP than the HHR and Sky/Soltice. Does anyone know why there is such a disparity with the same engine?

Drivetrain reliability for one, and the way air is brought to the turbo for another. If I remember right the Cobalt has a flexible hose in the air inlet tract that affects air flow under load.

Got a link? Or is this something that you discovered the hard way?

It was more fun than pain. When I changed the IC and hot side pipe, the first time I fired it up it pulled 26lbs boost when ever you press on the gas 1st,2nd,3rd, had to pull up, got scared. Next time I start it I'm all excited and ready to go zoom, but it was back to the factory setting 20 lbs it has seemed kinda whimpy ever since. Vince assures me he can make it do that all the time with the push of a button, amazing. You could tune instead of stage 1 ask this fella he has a great reputation vince@trifectaperformance.com
