Stage Kit almost here.
Well I contacted a nother local Dealer Ship "Power Chevy" and they charge $105 per hour. He was cool and said it should take about 1 hr to do this job. He hasn't seen anything on it but wanted to know what the kit included so I told him and thats when he told me how long. He wants everything that I have about the kit brought into him so they can hook me up. He'll I'll have the oil changed as well. I only have 5K miles on the beast.
The Look and Feel.. Of GMPP Stage 1... I was charged 2 hrs or $199.56. Not bad. All wires were wrapped and heat shrinked. 1st one done at Power Chevy and they wanted to know more and want feed back on how it drives.
Let me say that it hit 20psi and I was gone. I havent got on it 1st but I did get on it in 2nd and 3rd and 4th and it pulled very good. Getting on the Freeway I hit 95mph long before the merge and was still only in 3rd gear.
It felt like my Z28 did when it was stock which ran a 13.2 stock @ 106mph. I'm also stuck with running 91 oct here in AZ.
I spoke to the service guy for a long while along with the tech and they said that Exhaust, IC Piping, and Intercooler would not void warranty because those items will not cause parts to break. Racing will because people came in with their Stage 2 colbalt with busted trannys but he said that he remembers seeing something that GM fixed those weak parts. They also understand that the TMAp sensors were replaced probably in case GM throws more parts out like "Cough Cough" updated manifold and Turbo.
I am very pleased with what it did. On a scale from 1-10, I give it a 9. Because I now have a ton of TQ steer.
BTW, Im not sure it you guys knew this but they said because I didn't buy from a dealership they couldn't warranty the parts. Is this true? Any who. Good Deal.

Congrats!! if the stage kit is covered under warranty , are the rest of your mods? I ask cause if i was to get the SS i am looking at i def want a better IC and piping, it just looks way too small to be efficient. BUT i dont want to void any warranty with the use of Aftermarket parts. so i guess i am saying is it worth the warrenty to go with the GM tune if you dont have warranty on the vehicle cause it is over or voided? or is it better to go with another tuner?
