Stg. 1 and check engine light on...
Had my Stage 1 kit installed yesterday(Friday) and driving to work this morning the dummy light goes on. I plugged my dashhawk into it. P0106, and p0642. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this? Is it the one on tope or the one down under thats the culprit? I also noticed that the boost/vacuum on the dashhawk was not working like it showed on the GM boost gauge. When it was stock, they were pretty close, now it just seems to stay at -18 all the time, even at WOT. the 106 is the map sensor, but since it has 2, I'm not sure which one to check. The 642 code comes up in GM database as a wiring mistake on installer's part. I need to resolve this asap so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with code P0106 coming up after about 10 months. The dealer replaced the lower TMAP sensor and associated 4 connectors, the engine works fine now. The turbo boost readout on the dash display is controlled by the upper TMAP and I was having an intermittant "no data available" display come up on the display over the boost indicating readout. That was caused by a loose connector which the dealer corrected. That was all done on May 6th and I have experienced no further problems.
When the check engine light came on I wasn't sure why as the car seemed to be running OK until I stepped on the gas and discovered the limp mode was governing things. From what you describe, the stage 1 kit was wired in incorrectly and/or with poor crimping at the connectors. Just bring it back to where it was done and they'll correct it, hopefully. Good luck.

Thanks guys!! I got it home and ripped it all apart. I soldered it all together and according to directions, one of the tops wires was in the wrong spot. I did get it to throw codes p0193 and some U codes too and then it wouldn't start at all. After the solder and nice shrink wrap, all seems to be good. I took it out at like 3 a.m today when I was done and ripped it...feels great again!! I'll drive it again today and see what happens, as they say it takes 2 or more drive cycles to reset the codes. I'll let you guys know.

Just a quick update...still no problems and I even took it to the track today(5-30-11) and it was hot out. 90 degrees for most of the day. Best pass was a 14.40@98. I think it's got 13's in it for sure..
