Trifecta Performance Tune installed

I have to tell you, I just installed it and OMG!!!

It is like a different car. The tune is one of the highest increase in performance and one of the least expensive ones to boot. Can still go back to stock configuration if you need to go to the dealer, as well.

Vince at Trifecta Performance is really helpful.

Easy to install and took only 6 minutes (I timed it).

If you are on the fence, I totally suggest this tune.

For the SS:
260 HP --> 301 HP (~16% increase in power):shock:
260 TRQ --> 333 TRQ (~28% increase in Torque):shock:
Link to dyno chart (showing the results of a Cobalt SS)

Amazing increase in only 6 minutes.

This is not a paid endorsement but rather I am so amazed by the product and service. Contact TomsHHR with any other questions (or me if you want an outsiders experience). (you can buy it through TomsHHR cheaper then the Trifecta site, I guess Vince doesn't want to handle the sales if he doesn't have to )

Feel free to purchase any tune you want (or none at all), but this is just a review of the Trifecta Performace one.

Me after the tune -->

Anyone have a clue to what tuner this guy is using? I know he tunes a lot of LSX serise cars as well. The HHR SS IMO is a different beast and I am not trusting to many people with the tune since I know HPT isn't complete with the break down of perameters

There are a lot of people on the LNF Performance site using this tune as well.

Tom, I will be there and you most definitely get a ride in the SS.

are you going to dyno your car??? i would really like to see what you get. not calling bs,but given tune A is boosting the same as the trifecta tune on an otherwise stock car,how come we are seeing this huge increase??? eric and i have two completely different tunes. we got them dynoyed and came up with just about the same numbers. he had 264 to my 262 on tuned only cars. which we gained roughly 15-20hp over stock. also conditions were not good for the cars,but everything was equal. it can't be that many perameters to get those numbers,besides leaning the car out.

You have every right to be skeptical. I can understand. I wasn't going to get it dyno'd only because I wasn't going to spend the money.

All I can say is that the change in performance is DEFINITELY more then 20HP increase.

I am VERY happy with the results.

I went with the laptop install. You use a USB cable and install through custom software and custom tune through the ODB II plug under the dash.

Here are some links that discuss the Trifecta Tune.

Do your own research within these threads.

(You will have to replace the " dot " with ".", only way to post it, though)

I think that all tunes seem fairly close and it comes down to what you feel comfortable with and how much you are willing to spend.
