TTR Upper Motor Mount

Does anyone know if a TTR Upper Motor mount from a Cobalt SS Turbo with a manual trans will fit a HHR SS Auto trans? Thanks!

I thought it may fit being the motors are identical. I know the trans mounts are different. Thanks Foolmoon!

I've had in on my hhr ss auto for two weeks.

I think it's a great upgrade with few downsides.

I hear a slight vibration from the exhaust under full power (in the back) but that's probably due to a custom made dual exhaust that needs some slight adjusting.

The other downside, is under hard power from a stop you will feel a slight bit more vibration in the steering wheel, though very slight, nothing that is bothersome to the driver or the occupants.

The upside is the car feels ten times more solid. Much, Much less torque steer even on crowned or multi surfaced roads. Less rocking back and forth when I light up the tires from a stop all I see now is two black even streaks in the mirror, which I didn't think was possible with the auto.

The other upside is it looks very well made, custom like and hopefully durable, but it's only been two weeks.

Prior to this, It seemed the car felt kind of sloppy, especially under hard power, now it's solid.

I had it professionally installed by a custom shop, not by the dealer.

Hope this helps.

J.

Guess you were right Bart, email from Aaron said it would not fit. He said there are two different mounts.

Auto tranny Cobalt upper mounts will only fit auto tranny HHR's

Manual tranny Cobalt upper mounts will only fit manual tranny HHR's

They cannot be mixed, the offset from the manual to the auto tranny upper engine mount is different. You must get the right one.

We can get you a discount on a new one (small one) and you will have warranty, as 2nd hand/purchased used, does not carry any warranty if you would need it for any reason.

Aaron, your quote from above says "Manual tranny Cobalt upper mounts will only fit auto tranny HHR's"

Did you miss type?

Also, I don't think they put auto trannys in Cobalt SS.

Fixed my post, that was a typo, it is correct now.

ANY COBALT auto tranny (2.2/2.4L also), cobalt auto trannys use the same upper mount as ALL auto tranny HHR's.
