GM did not break up the GM Performance division they are still around and they are still trying to get the EO number from California to start selling the kit.

Many of the Performance Division people were just intergrated into the prodution development. The same people who made the SS are not tuning all the stock and performance platforms and not just a special few OE cars in their hands.

I got a e mail from the man incharge of the Cobalt kit and he is still in the performance division. He may be reading this thread as he does watch this web site regularly.

Other than freezing pay for exectutives, asking Rick Wagoner to step down and Ed Whitacker to come in they have done very little to direct GM.

I do not like the present admin in office and will not hide that fact, but I am also fair in the point they have not really done much to direct GM on how to do things. Lutz stated for the most they have only told them to make a profit and have not done anything to direct product in any way.

Lets face it they need GM to make it and not get picky how as after the loans they would pay a high price if GM fails again if they directed them. It would be their fault not GM's.

The intake is in the works from what I have been told but it may not be a priority right now. GM has more important things to do right now than to make a intake for a car that will stop production this year.

I keep hearing a lot about interest at GM in a Cruze SS. I suspect the LNF may find a new home in due time.

Either way the perfromance group is still around and the SS cars will still be coming in the future.
