The K04+, which is made by Bald Turbo Freak Racing (similar internal changes to the K04 as these guys are doing), with proper tuning, is good for 35-50 hp, IIRC.
"Evo III TD05H-16G, fitted to the OEM KO4 Turbine Housing for stock like fitment".
I would take that over the Bald turbo freak upgrade. Evo3 16g are 12 sec capable easy on a DSM, and the preferred turbo by most DSM owners. Can't wait for the dyno results and pricing. I would guess the pricing may be a little more then a stock evo 3 16g turbo.

You're 260 stock. Basic tune only gets you to 300. K04+, tuned further, gets you another 35-50.
16g is a pretty antiquated design. Granted, they're solid as can be, but for our application, they're small, and can run pretty hot behind the motor and without ball bearings. Also, their internal wastegate is extremely limiting. Many prefer building a hybrid "18g" (no such thing in the Mitsu catalog)... that uses a 20g case, which allows for external wastegating, and lets you bump up the impeller a bit. But... you're still dealing with a turbo that's been eclipsed by newer designs.
