Thanks for the good review Yonash!

About the adjustement on the side-to-side shifter cable, we take good note of it, however it seems to be only in the HHR SS that this cable needs to be adjusted, none of the Cobalt SS/SC or TC we have installed the shifter in needed an adjustement there.

If anyone has an HHR SS in the Montreal area (Quebec, Canada), we would really like to have it here at the shop for a few hours to make a specific installation manual for this model.

not a problem at all, sir! it's a fantastic product, and in my opinion EVERYONE with an SS should have one of these. thanks again for the sale that pushed me into ordering it!

If we order do we choose the Cobalt SS/TC option since the HHR says non SS?

Yes, we still didn't have time to make a page only for the HHR SS on the site yet!

Okay just wondering, I may have to order sometime in the near future, Yonash talked me into it.

Also the knobs say they are 41mm, does this mean any knob that is 41mm will fit?

The shift knob that comes with the short shifter is the aluminum M1 Abrams RL with the engraved shift pattern and the dimension is 2" inches. But the important informations if you want to put another shift knob is the shifter thread size (M10 x 1.25) and the reverse lockout compatibility. Most of the aftermarket shift knobs are not reverse-lock compatible so you can't use them.

Let me know if you need other informations!

I believe from reading all the posts on shifters and engagement issues and my own experience with the (great!) TWM shifter and the stock shifter that this may be due to poorly adjusted shift cables in the HHR SS "as delivered" at the dealer. The Shop manual does not appear to even have a specifically defined method of adjustment. The "put it in 5th gear and adjust to to barely touching the right side stop" appears to be the best method stock or TWM.
