Won't boost over 13PSI with stage

OK, so just this morning my car would no longer boost over 13PSI in most cases, with an occasional 15psi seen. I used to get 18-23psi depending on weather conditions. It does not have a CEL lit. I know I have seen others with low boost, and various repairs. Did you guys see a CEL or not though? I am concerned that the dealer will ignore it since a CEL is not showing. Does anyone have a successful experience in this situation? Thanks.

When it is cold and the air is denser I have noticed that my boost is much lower. In the spring and summer is when I hit the high 22-24 psi on the gauge. I might be wrong, but I think in cold and freezing temps you should not expect as high boost #'s.

Just my .02

I have seen it boost much higher in much colder temps than today. I usually see at least the high teens. And it isn't that cold today (20 degrees or so this morning). In cooler wether, it used to hit 18-20 and like you said 22-24 in spring/summer.

Well, it definitely was a problem lol! I lost all boost on the way home; it came back for a bit after restart but I lost it again pretty quick. Once it hits about 12psi, it sounds like air is whooshing out of the engine compartment. Keep on the gas for a few secs and the boost will drop to 0. Still no check engine light, but definitely no boost at that point. I set up an appointment with the dealer for tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll know what it is soon. I'm kinda glad it went out fully; no way they won't be able to recreate this.

It's at the dealer now. It actually set the check engine light on the way in to the dealer this morning. Hopefully that will make it easier to troubleshoot.

Sounds like one of the intercooler pipes may be loose. Hopefully it's something as simple as that!

Well, dealer thought they fixed it but they didn't yet. They said a hose had come disconnected, and it was all better; I am not sure which hose but will check the paperwork later. Anyway, when I picked up the car it felt better but still didn't feel right, so I pushed it a bit... Boost was now maxing out most of the time at 13-15PSI, and at some times it was surging noticeably. I was about to leave it alone for the day when the boost dropped again. I drove it right back to the dealer and left it running so it would not reset the boost. Then I got the service advisor to let me talk to the tech and have him test drive it again. He agreed it had a problem. He plugged in his scanner and lo and behold it had set the DTC P0299 again (the tech told me that was what it had set in the morning too).

The tech admitted having little experience working with the turbos and told me that the explanation he got from the service advisor didn't tell him the whole story. He had road tested it after the repair, but didn't really know what to look for or what to do to recreate the problem so it seemed fine to him. He was willing to give it another shot though, especially now that he better understood what was going on. I am unable to drop it off again tomorrow, so it will go back for another attempt at repair on Thursday.

Pitt Bull,
Please keep the updates coming. Mine is in the dealership right now with the exact same symptoms including the whooshing sound just as the boost drops. Very disappointing. I'll see if the P0299 code is coming up.
Thanks.

Please tell me that they soldered the wires and heat shink around it. I had the same problem but after they did it the correct way, no problem since. It's the biggest mistake the kit has "CONNECTORS"!!!!
