07 HHR Engine limited power check engine light on

I have an 07 HHR 162,000 miles and has been a great car. Today i noticed driving a major loss of power in the engine. It has no acceleration, and would attempt to stall at idle an very low speeds. The maximum speed i could acheive was 60 mph. I also noticed a rougher shift in the tranny. I took it to autozone and several codes popped up p0116, p0138, p0442, p1682,p2a01, p0101. After some research a couple were o2 sensors, and evap leak, and mass airflow sensor. The symptoms mimic the mass airflow. I replaced it and still same issue. Any help appreciated.

Since you didn't mention a Check Engine Light, or any other warning messages, I am assuming that you are leaving a lot out of the story.

1 of them has something to do with the MAF, why not throw O2 sensors, ignition switch and a EVAP valve at it at the same time?

You might start by checking the fuse33 and relay 26 under the hood, while you are there push down on all of the fuses and relays and then push down on the board they are mounted on. The halves of the fuse box tends to loosen up, check the bolts. Also, check all of the wires for chafing and fraying and laying on hot parts.

Have the ignition recalls been done?

The P0116 could be the root, the coolant maybe low, this would cause many issues. So let's start there, please advise if the coolant level when the engine is cold at the fill cap on the upper rad hose and in the coolant recovery tank behind the rad.
Whilst your under the hood check your oil level any coolant mixed in?

It wasn't advice, it was commentary about people listening to the jerks at AutoZone and throwing parts at their cars instead of thinking about the connections and diagnosing. I don't know why you only threw the one part at it.

I don't see any indication in the body of the OP about check engine light. Thread titles don't mean nuthin'. Dial it back!

Were there any other warnings on the dashboard?

The advice is:
You might start by checking the fuse33 and relay 26 under the hood, while you are there push down on all of the fuses and relays and then push down on the board they are mounted on. The halves of the fuse box tends to loosen up, check the bolts. Also, check all of the wires for chafing and fraying and laying on hot parts.

Here are some links I got from GoOgling your DTC list. I would focus on the P1682.

P1682 CHEVROLET Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2

P0016 as per this link in causes relates to a stretched timing chain, skipped teeth on the timing gears

https://www.obd-codes.com/p0016

Your gonna have to replace the timing chain set, the engine is disabled to avoid further engine damage , there might still be valve and or piston damage.
