The 2009 2.2 & 2.4l share the same intake manifold.
Do they share the same Exhaust Manifold?

 

So for 2009 the intake manifolds are the same? From what I have read in this forum that was a popular mod for some people with the 2.2 was to add the intake manifold and throttle body from a 2.4.

 

Yes, I just spoke with a local Chevy Dealer Ship & the 2009's share the intake & exhaust manifolds. But they have different TB's.

 

I wonder if they went to the trouble of re-rating the horsepower of the 2.2 liter, or just left it alone? It may not make any more intake horsies with the 2.2 throttle body, but I'll bet the exhaust manifold helps if the rest of the exhaust system is sufficent. God Bless, Marc

 

that is done with the older one piece 2.4 manifold only. the throttle body swap is very complicated.
