Smile Racing solution header for 2.2 ecotec

Has any one installed this type of header, are they good for the HHR 2.2 engine, will it bring more HP or decrease the HP.

yes it will fit on the HHR, it will bring HP, one thing you would run into is that the balthas an o2 sensor on the manifold most of the time, only the '06 hhr has that. so if you have a newer one you will need to either put in a dummy sensor or find a short bolt with the same thread to screw in there. you will also need to make some type of gasket to seal the hole with the bolt. or get yourself a wideband and put it there.

Thanks, which is the most popular header for the 2.2 ecotec, I read on this forum that someone sugested that I can use a 2.0 SS cobalt or the 2.4 header, is this true.

Any other recommendations on a header that will bring extra HP at a resonable price, I previously own a Alero 2.2, and installed a pacesetter (I think it was called) coated chrome, there are so many different models of headers, I drive back and forth to work every day and use my 350Z roadster for weekends.

I love this HHR Panel 2009, It`s a great ride and looks great, just need a little increase in HP.

the pacesetter for the cobalt is a good header it runs fairly cheap and is sold by one of our supporting vendors. you can use a header for the 2.0 as long as its the supercharged version and not the turbocharged one. and the 2.4 as well.

What is the difference with a 2.0SS or 2.4 exhaust manifold compared to a 2.2 exhaust manifold.

Would the stock 2.0SS or 2.4 be a better choice for the extra HP and price.

thanks
