AGS intake update

I purchased a used CGS intake in August for my '07. After four months of ownership I don't have any groundbreaking news to report, just able to confirm what the other users have said. I'm getting 1-2 more MPG (avg of 27-29MPG) than with the stock unit and it makes a nice howl when you stomp the gas pedal.

I cut and welded my CGS intake and mounted a 10 Edelbrok filter made a big diffrence over the stock CGS I dont know about mileage as I cannot keep my foot off the gas pedal , photos in the Toms Farm Cruize site on next to last page I didnt like the filter against the engine, glad I made the change.

I'm using the CGS intake pipe with a UNI two-stage foam filter and an Outerwears pre-filter as I've never been comfortable with K&N type gauze filters.

I've only been running this for just under one week, but so far so good. The Outerwears pre-filter is doing it's job and is already showing dirt particles on the surface.

For those of you that are running K&N type filters, I would highly recommend using an Outerwear pre-filter. I also recommend that you keep an eye on the filter and clean it when it looks dirty.
