Cam Button Sensor??

Cam Button Sensor??

has anybody seen this??? check engine light comes on....code says Cam button sensor...buy one from dealer and replace...reset light...comes right back on with the same code....try different sensor from dealer thinking I may have a bad one...light stays on....now I am getting a weird stumble at idle....any ideas???

Without posting up the actual code number it's hard to say, but it sounds like you replaced the wrong part(s).

I don't think I've ever heard the term cam button sensor on the HHR. I'm thinking maybe you've got an actuator solenoid problem.

Post up that actual code number and we'll try to point you in the right direction.
And posting up the year model, engine size and mileage always helps.

There is no code "Cam button sensor" in fact, the codes are numbers not descriptions. I.E.: P0013.
