From my expieriences with the SS , If your not tuning for performance gaines , The computer says F-U and will show , Or produce a problem. Some have more forgiving computers , Most do not .
so it becomes a stay stock, Or get tuned thing.
I'm still stock with a drive train warranteed new engine.
It's about funds ,
Got em ,
Go nuts ,
Don't , Then enjoy what you have untill the 100,000 or 5 years are up.
Then all bets are off !

Did you use the proper 2.5" insert in the Spectre MAF tube? I have never had a problem with mine

voigts Mar 24, 2012 09:51 PM

I just used a piece of 2.5" pipe with a GM MAF sensor mount for mine and it works like a charm. I then got the Scoche 2.5" to 3" adapter to run the 3" pipe down behind the headlight.

Just wondering how that works in high water? Hydraulicing (sp?) a motor can be real expensive...

No problem, the filter is up behind the headlight. The filter would have to be submerged to hydro lock the motor.Been running with this set up for awhile now and thru several heavy rain storms, worked just fine.

I got it to work thanks for the pictures it looks great. I had to cut off the stock MAF tube off the stock box as wheel. Im thinging of putting a hood scoop on with a big CAI filter running to it.

Heres my attempt, it through a code at first, I cleared it and it runs great, lots of induction noise that I actually like, the code it through was a bank one code running lean. ill see how it runs and I haven't altered any of the OEM stuff so I can go back if i want to.
