srry guys and gals that i hvent posted on this in a while but im having some roube on how to attach the lid. I wanted t use a piece of plexi glass but dunno how to get it to stay there and be airtight. Im thinking of giving it some kind of lip and using some neoprene gasket tape to seal it. then maybe have some steel bars that go over the top of it and go to the frame. So they will hold the lid in place and the box. what do ya think?

I don't think you will like the Plexi on there. If you do use it you would need to use a pretty thick piece. Also, don't drill a hole in it to close to an edge or the Plexi will crack pretty easily. I also don't know how Plexi would react to the constant temp changes as it scratches and yellows also.

If you could I would put a frame around the Plexi and attach the frame to your Air Box.

Good Luck.

there will be a frame around it. i was going to rivet it. Its high impact lexan. 1/8 in. im also thinking im going to paint it so that you cannot see the discoloration. Or maybe ill just fab a aluminum lid to go with the box.

Gmpp

GM Performance Parts avaiable at most Chevy dealers. I do think the GMPP intake is the best of all of them but it is so expensive.

I think the GMPP exhaust is a standard Magnaflow???? But more expensive and it is covered by GM warranty.

I would like to add an additional thought to this......

For those owners who are in an emission state (AZ, Calif.etc.), that is, a state that requires emission certification on a periodic or annual basis, the GMPP IS CARB CERTIFIED AND PROVIDES a STICKER TO PLACE IN AN UNDER HOOD LOCATION confirming such action. I have asked several distributors and have not received any positive answers regarding other competitive products.

Can anyone answer this with a positive note??
