or search eBay for a Saab 2.0t Turbo. Its an ECOtec motor and has the exact same mounting for the exhaust manifold and will bolt up to our downpipes as well. Just thought I'd throw that out there since that is the route I am going.

Do you know the years of the saab that these manifolds come off of? There is one on ebay now that might work.

Not quite sure of the years. I would imagine anything after 2001 would work since that was one of the first years that GM dropped its other 4cyl motors and adopted the ECOtec as its global motor.

Check around first just in case.

this would be a great cheap start to get a turbo in the works... then you could adapt some of the oil taps etc to figure out what needs to be done...

On my eclipse the turbo oil line was tapped into the oil presure switch on the back of the motor using fittings. It was as simple as that. And then a return line to the oil pan.

im sure you could talk to your local gm service department and they could order it all for you. and no its because of compression, they dropped the compression for the ss the reason its a 2.0. but im sure you can tune it enough to make you satisfied.

one issue how to tune a 2.2L? Id much rather get a SC rather than a TC but if its an easier route, AND CHEAPER, then ill think about it.
