Question Exhaust tip

I purchased a rolled tipped stainless steel exhaust extension for my muffler and am wondering if the rolled tip will cause any problems with the exhaust?
I have not installed it, bought it from Gibson Performance.

It's just for looks. You won't change your exhaust any other than making it look better.

That would be correct. As long as it's centered and tight, it won't affect anything. Only problem I might see happening is if there's a screw loose on the mounting, or if it's off-center, and at that it'll just create a bit of a rattle.

I looked at Gibson's website and would venture to guess this is the one you got. Very nice looking exhaust tip.

It does feature the built-in clamp at the end of each tip that speeds up installation, however, I would have it welded for several reasons. One being the possibility of theft and the other being to make sure it doesn't jar itself loose over time.

Thanks

Thanks for all your responses! the tip shown is the one I have. Once I get this on and my chrome trim on the tail lights, I'll have a pic for all to see.

Just a note about that tip, you will need to drill a small hole in the bottom so it can drain, I had the same tip on mine and I didn't put the smaill hole on it and it started to rust and looked awful, i recommend getting one without the rolled end, though.
