got a new mod!!!

Got a cobalt SC down pipe, just came in the mail today, just waiting on the o2 bung and gaskets to install, even came with the cat cleared out, wasnt expecting that, hopefully i dont need a tune to compensate for that, if i do get a code for catalist efficiency will it reduce my power?

Almost positive you'll get a CEL. I doubt it will go into reduced power mode, but I also doubt you'll see any gains...besides an increase in raspiness.

Whats you're stock dp like? Two cats with an o2 sensor after?

The first o2 sensor is in the exhaust manifold on mine.

If you can find someone with hptuners, they can disable the CEL.

Go to the auto parts store and get a set of spark plug extenders. They are sold as anti foulers for cars that burn oil. Sometimes you have to drill out the inside of the extender to fit the O2 sensor but you screw it onto the sensor and then the sensor into the pipe after the cat. What your doing is keeping the O2 sensor active but preventing it from seeing exhaust gases that haven't gone through a cat. If you still get a CEL add a second extender to space it out further.
