So today I had to get new tires and found out that the driverside
Strut had blown out the ? Is how long can I drive on the strut
Should have the money in a few days to fix the strut and get kyb's.

You could drive on it forever, the spring is what holds up the car, the strut controls rate of compression and rebound. There is a chance that eventually you will get some odd tire wear, and depending on how blown it is some odd handling. I drove on mine for a few months before I got around to changing the struts, I needed new tires prior so I wasn't really concerned about that.

If your struts are shot there is a good chance your control arm bushings are shot also, or are starting to wear. I believe that the reason the struts go prematurely bad is because of bad control arm bushings.

All of those people that have never checked or changed their oil have been driving around on blown out struts for years. It is not a catastrophic failure.
