My Custum Intake Built By Me

I was looking around for intakes and looked on here to see what other members were doing and got a idea to build my own. instead of curving to the left and sticking it down in the hole with alot of stuff blocking the airflow i decided to curve it right and mount the filter right behind the fans and that allows more air to flow to it because 1. you have the fan moving air, 2. it allows air to go to the filter straight from the grill. I also wrapped it in header rap to prevent all the heat from the engine heating up the tubing, alow the inside of the intake to stay cooler. I cant figure out how to put pictures in the post so please look at my profile pics and let me know what you think.

Just me but I think it really is fugly!! I hope it performs well becuase I think I'd rather have the stock than that under the hood.

Is there something other than the wrap you can use to protect it from heat?

I admire you for the fact that you're trying something different. For me though I need function and looks.

Did you paint the wiring covers or did you replace them? They look great!

Based on the gallery pics, 8 subs and 2 Rockford Fosgate P3002 amps, so that's at least 600 watts.

Mazda has Zoom Zoom, doughboy has Boom Boom

Is that enough to drive 8 subs?

I've got 500 driving just 2.

Looking at the the Fosgate site, the specs seem to indicate 1 amp per sub. Maybe they are bridged or something to drive more than one or there are more goodies inside the sub box. Way beyond my knowledge level on this stuff.

Home theatre systems are more my area when it comes to audio.
