Royal Purple Oils / Better Plugs

Thinking about changing my oils in my car to the Royal Purple complete. Also wondering about a good spark plug.

Your 2007 2.2 should already have AC Delco iridium tipped plugs as OE. They are quite excellent.

Royal Purple oils are not on GMs approved oil list and Royal Purple does not say whether their oils meet the GM6094M spec.

If you switch to Royal Purple oils and have an oil related failure, it would likely be between you and Royal Purple for resolution - GM might not cover it.

I just installed the Bosch 4482 +4 plugs in my 230 mile ride and I noticed a little more pick up right away.

Mobil 1 all the way! If it's good enough for all vettes from the assembly line & the McLaren F1 cars, It's good enough for our ecotec sumps! :thumb:

I started out with Mobil 1 synthetic and last oil change switched to Penzoil Platinum Synthetic. The Penzoil seems to stay cleaner and last longer, so I may stay with it from now on. I changed the oil before I went to Kansas Speedway in July and have put on about 4,000 miles since then and DIC is at about 43% right now.

I also changed to Bosch +4 plugs quite some time ago. Seemed to have a little more zip after I did that. It's all a matter of opinion...and there are definitely a myriad of those here.

Mobile 1 is the line of oil used at the dealership here in my town. And its recommended by GM. so I go with it. Havent changed the origingal plugs yet.

I switched to Mobile 1 after the first "free" oil change by the dealer. The last oil change was around 18K miles and now I have 25K. The DIC says 49%.

The Mobil 1 in the McLaren is not the same stuff you pick up at China Mart for $20 :D

For me, Pennzoil Platinum.
