Serpentine belt keeps falling
Hello out there, I have a problem with my serpentine belt falling off. I replaced the tensioner, though belt is still falling off, it is also making a sqeaky noise though can't figure out where it coming from, I wanna say from the crankshaft pulley, but not sure. Anyone had similar problem? Please help...

I've seen this issue before the belt is just a shade to long and or the tensioner is not extending fully. I have had Goodyear belt on now for 5 years but had to go thru two belts to get the correct length.

It sounds like you have a belt alignment problem. If the belt pulleys are not in align with each other the belt will make noise and or will ride to one side until it jumps off.
Use a good flashlight and look down from the top and you will see one of the pulleys out of alignment. It don't take much to cause problems.
You changed the engine with a Malibu. Maybe the a/c bracket or the crank pulley is different.

Hey Mmgsxr750,
I know you're reaching out to the incredibly helpful DIY community here, but if you'd like to have this issue looked at by your local Chevrolet dealership, we'd be happy to assist with that. Just send us a PM with your VIN, mileage, preferred dealership and contact information and we can share your situation (including the Malibu motor) with them. They would then contact you to set up a service appointment.
Let me know if this is something you'd like me to proceed with.
