I know what you mean. (except with only one car)

When I get an exhaust I'll probably go with Magnaflow over Gibson because of the price difference. I imagine they probably sound similar. A few years ago I didn't like the way any four cylinder sounded, but I'm starting to like them more and more.

Every time a V8 equipped car or truck goes by us I comment to my wife "I wish we could get that V8 rumble out of these 4 bangers".

I hope that at some point someone comes up with a system that gives some rumble without getting the Civic with a fart can sound.

YES!!!!!!!! I will not change the muffler if it is going to sound like I constantly have gas I still really don't like the sound of all the imports running around. Gonna have to figure something out.

I have the Magnaflow Cat-Back, and really like it a lot.
I have tried numerous times to get a recording with not much success.
Suggest you go to the Magnaflow website and listen to there sound clips.

For what it's worth, I like mine so much, I went ahead and purchased a Magnaflow Cat-Back for my 05 Colorado 4X4 and installed this weekend.
Very impressed with the workmanship.

I have pictures in my gallery for the Magnaflow if you want to see how it looks when the hhr was on the rack getting them installed.

I found the best place to buy was on ebay.
Look for someone that has one listed that says "Best Offer".

It hit me while my wife and I were out eating tonight, why doesn't someone put a V8 under the hood? Haven't taken measuremeants, and it would have to be changed to rear wheel drive, but you would have one hell of a sleeper if you did it. Save the money you would put into a muffler and just start changing the motor over.

There are a few HHRs with V8s. They were built at the launch for TLC's show Rides.

Yeah but I want something real world. Something if you or I had the time, money, and guts to do, would do. That would be sweet I would bet the ones for Rides were professionally built with all the bells and whistles, with no worries about the cost.
