Hello, I have been lurking for a month or so gathering all I can. I'm interested in adding a bit more power to my 2.4. I have a CAI and high flow muffler. I was thinking of a header, but don't know if it will void my warranty. Yes i believe it would void your warranty. If your not sure read some of the fine print in the papers you got and signed while in the finance office.

 

The header would void the warranty on the stock exhaust manifold.

"Cheap power" is an oxymoron.

 

The only thing that would be "VOID" would be any failure related to the header. So if a radio fails or a wheel bearing they would still be covered since the header is not connected to them and NOTHING the header could do would effect them. The only things that would not be covered are the header itself and anything it has a direct effect on.

 

No doubt, these new cars are expensive to mess with. So far I have gotten by cheap, $32 in a CAI and $120 in the muffler. The highway mpg went to 40.3 at 55mph according to the display. So not a bad trade off for the money. I was just wandering if that's pretty well it? I don't want to lose any mpg, just wanted to make it as efficient as possible while still staying under warranty.

All of the above is correct, by replacing your stock manifold with a header, you will only be voiding your exhaust manifold.
