Thank you for the compliment SSguy and for posting the photos. That is what I was trying to do, but it didn't work. Raineman and SSguy, when I look at a photo in PhotoBucket, I see four choice on which to click:

E-mail & IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

I think I clicked on, copied, and pasted the Direct Link choice. Should I be copying and pasting a different one to get a photo to insert into the body of my message?

Many thanks, and God Bless, Marc

gmpp air box

My air box was installed on my '08' 2.2 LT1, along with the gmpp exhaust,by my dealer when picked it up 3/08 never known anything but this combo and I love it. Except the black fuzzy catapiller feeding it. Currently working on getting a mandrel bent aluminum tube for better, and using muffler wrap to insulate from engine heat, plus maybe insulate the box itself externally with dyna mat. Can't hurt to try. With my 5 speed and Castrol Edge I can chirp the tires in 1st + 2nd and getting on the freeway last night chirped them in 3rd gear. I think it helps and sure sounds good to bout.

Jonny4eyes, I saw your part about an aluminum tube attaching the airbox to the fender well hole replacing the wooly tube. I hope you are meaning aluminum flex tube of some sort, as the engine moves relative to the fender well wall. Maybe I misunderstand your intent?

I too thought about insulating the airbox, especially from below from heat rising off the engine. May be a good idea. Please let us know how it works out.

God Bless, Marc

Marc-

Ur welcome..... IMO, you should be copying the pic you want URL code, then paste it with the [img]URLgoeshere[/img] tags.

But when you Right click on a pic a box should open & at the bottom is "Properties", click on that then the URL should be open to copy & later paste.

Or....Maybe try using the IMG code ? That is an Image code..(I'm not familiar with that)..
