Goldline rear levelers arrived today

So I will review all of your great "play by play" install guides and go for it this weekend. I would like to get some feedback from those that have installed them.

Trim or not trimmed bumpstops....

Needed isolator tubing or not.........

I have a good set of hand tools and jackstands and a floor jack. I think this is all I am going to need?

Thanks!

Don

Good luck, Don...

I installed the rear leveling springs on my '06 Summit White 2LT...

Trimmed bumpstops...
No isolator tubing...
Smaller coils installed near bottom...

Very happy with results after 1 year!

Don,
I installed mine last weekend and I did them the same way BK did his:
Trimmed bump stops
Large coils to top (same as stock springs)
No tubing on coils
Have not had any squeaks or noise.

I used my electric impact gun to remove the lower shock bolts. Not sure how they would be to get off with hand tools. Also re-installed with impact. Wish I had torque spec for bolts, but I don't think they will come loose.
Also be careful not to damage parking brake cables when locating jack stands.

Good luck and let us know how it goes?

2+ years on my GL drop all the way around. Trimmed bumpstops with no tubing and never had a noise issue. The rears are way easy. It's almost comical. A jack, some stands, and a total of 2 bolts and 2 nuts is all that needs to be taken off in order to do it correctly.

Lord that was EASY

Props out to TK, Kahuna, Bigalls and ng for the how-to's. I installed the rear springs today. Total time for install:35 minutes and I think I shouldve been a NASCAR tech. Ok that's a reach but nevertheless it was fast and easy. Pics to follow as soon as I get my other things on.

Looks great! If you only lowered the back? Your headlights will need to be readjusted though. Looks sweet! Todd (Uma)
