has anyone actually test drivin the ss? i drove a few of them and i would not trade my
lt2 for one. i was not impressed with the claimed power of them. it may have beaten my lt2 by maybe 2 cars in a quarter. not worth the extra 20g's to me especally since my 06 lt2 is only worth 6500 now.

i've never test driven an ss. i must admit, once it was released, i started to feel a little jealous. i like my 2LT a lot, but i felt it was a little underpowered once that 260hp turbocharged 2.0L was introduced. but it's interesting to hear you say that. does anyone else have any insight on this?

i'm really anxious to hear what hahn has for us 2.4L owners. i would love to see HP in the 300-ish range. i'm not a street racer or anything, i just wouldn't mind that extra power.

I was going to get an SS but just before I was ready to buy I bought an '02 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with a 4.7 V8, 5-speed and Flowmasters. I might be hopelessly old school but man, there's nothing like the rumble of a V8 with pipes. The Dodge is my daily driver... I love it. It's got guts.

I wound up getting a great deal on an '09 2LT half-panel that I love too, but for entirely different reasons. It's comfortable, great on gas and rides like a dream. I'm extremely happy with my HHR and glad I passed on the SS. At 62 I think I'm too old for a modern high-performance car and all the idiosyncrasies that come with them.

Never never too old. I had a 2006 Corvette had to sell because of economic situation. Would have a new Z06 if I had the money. I'm 67

It's true you can never be too old but you can be too "Financially Embarrassed" to keep fancy women and fancy cars in a way that they are accustomed.
