HHR 2.4L Turbo?

HHR 2.4L Turbo?
I'm wondering if anyone has bought a turbo kit and installed it for your 2.4L HHR (or the 2.4L ecotec). I want to see if anyone has done it before I decide on buying a kit. I've only seen one person put a supercharger on their HHR, but I'd prefer a turbo over a supercharger. The stock 2.4L is just too slow for me If anyone has any info or any performance tuning for the 2.4L ecotec engine that would be great! I'm also debating whether to get rid of the 2.4L and find a 2.0L engine to just replace it.

changing out will be a LOT of work, if you go that route might as well have V-8.
Don't know how many 2.4 turbos there are but I know mine is the only one I know of but I don't get around much. Mine is a one-off by Bill Hahn (long story). I love it. I would never have gone through what I did, but again, long story...
I'm at ~245-255whp now. Plan on going further but I'll need better valve spring to handle more boost, I bigger turbo, etc...my end goal is ~350whp.

Putting in a turbo on a 2.4 would be a major and costly project.
I wouldn't even consider trying to swap a 2.0 turbo in a regular HHR. It has been discussed on this forum before. It was pretty much agreed that it would be a "10" on the hardness scale plus would be very costly. Not just a engine swap, but you would need all the electronics for the turbo engine.
Either consider the supercharger route or find a used SS.
