You would love Austin, Sindy. This city is stuck in the 60's.

i will be looking into relocating the factory evap components this week in order to run a true split system. i have a friend that works at gm to find out if it will effect the factory warranty or not. will keep all of you updated.

warrenty will most likely be out the window. If GM is anything like nissan i wouldnt do it. i had dynomat in my trunk and they voided my warrenty because of it, warrenty for a leaking trunk in which nissan had a problem and yes i fought it with a lawyer. if you where to have any problems with that stuff i really hope you can move it back to stock when you take it in.

The evap isn't the biggest worry, check the pics at the beginning of this post - the fuel filler neck & line runs along the pass side! Can you say "Light 'em Up!"

Have fun (& be safe!)!

this thread has been an adventure. It seems like I was time warped back into High School. It started about a strange mod noticed on a car and evolved into everything but talking about the mod. I laughed so hard at CH's rants that when I got to JonyyB's post, I fell off my chair and couldn't get back up. I finally wiped my tears of joy and had to write my part. BTW I would love to get a functional dual exhaust for my HHR. But I am not willing to see if I am combustible first. So I will wait for the good word from Socal. :twothumbs

Dual Exhaust

I contacted the owner of this vehicle, when I spotted his picture. He had the duals installed by a local muffler shop in his town, east of Toronto. Said he paid around # 350.00 Canadian for the work.
I wonder if he is aware of all the potential hazards he could be running into.

Have to admit though, it sure looks good!!!
