If that was in focus I could see it, but it looks like there is a dark circle there?

It just looks like a indent, like a boss for a hole that wasn't finished..

Booo...take a better pic lol

Just a FYI, a boss is not an indention, it's similar to a spacer.

Since nothing factory is mounted there, I seriously doubt if they would replace it. Sorry for the bad pic, its the best I can do.

Id be willing to bet that it was intended but the machine didnt drill it. Im certain I can safely drill a hole and tap it to mount that bracket. Thanks everyone.

Here's something to throw out

I wonder if I can get the valve cover replaced under warranty seeing that it doesnt have those holes drilled from the factory.

What are the odds that the dealer will say something like, " Since there is nothing mounted there in 2008, we do not deem it necessary to replace it. I am curious to know if the 06/07's have something bolted on there.

Have you checked other 2008 HHRs?

If your dealer is saying that, go to another one, GM pays for the parts, and GM pays for the labor to replace it. So, they shouldnt have an issue with it, if they do they need to get over themselves.
