True Impala SS glory is the one my father had before I showed up 66 Impala SS with a 427.

In 1995 they added a couple of colours - including "Dark Grey Green", although I never saw one of those cars until now.

LT1 baby!
Wasn't there also a dark red/cherry color?

Great car

I hear Toyota bragging that it is about ready to take over the number one spot over Chevy. That would be a shame. American car makers have got to get on the ball and one way is to trade on their history like with the HHR. Ford would be smart to use the Edge platform and make a sort of older retro Ford like a 39Coupe. I hate to see Toyota win and Ford and Dodge go out of...well I can't say it.

Yep, in 1995 they added two colours to the lineup - the green car in the picture, and dark cherry red.

I've seen the black cars, and the dark cherry - just never a green one.

They are all pretty sweet.

The 1994, 1995, and 1996 Impalas were RWD - don't know why someone mentioned FWD. The first FWD Impala SS came it in 2004 with the supercharged 3800 V-6.

As you stated, the 2006 was FWD.

my mistake... I guess the coffee wasn't working yet - I read that as '96 returned the SS to glory, not 06

THere was an 06 in the showroom next to the hhr that I bought...I got to test drive it just for kicks...I'll take it...FWD and all

This new impala is the best they've done since 96...not ever...but I wouldn't have wanted one until now (other than the 96)

I love b-body's, up until i got my hhr i drove a 91 caprice wagon and miss that thing. I hope your on www.impalassforum.com they have alot of stuff there, plus i would look up a local club. I was a member of POSSI (Pennsylvania owners of SS impala's) and loved every moment of it. Did you buy that car off of someone that is big in the impala SS community b/c it looks really familiar.

Actually I've had the car since Decmeber. I final got around to changing the exhaust, intake, stereo, alarm and wheels in the last months.

I've been wanting one for a long time so when some lady crashed my car I figured it was time.

You can beat the room this car has.
