i have done n2o systems on my 62 impala, my 88 Beretta GT, and i going to prob do one on my 1993 Camaro. I know in the case of my camaro i have to tune the PCm to reset the timing back to normal when ithe n2o is on, going to use a switchable EPROM adapter. Anyway since the 2.4 has VVT is n20 a viable poweradder since the timing changes in the power band? Advanced timing + n2o = BOOM. I have found plenty of "universal" kits that would work, and since the motor is throttle by wire, a WOT switch should not be that hard to do. I was thinking a "mild" 50 -75 HP kit, i prefer wet systems in my experience, so actually a 50 HP wet would hit pretty good on that motor.

I don't see the point because we have such a small weak little engine to begin with. Even if you sink tons of money into it and add forceded induction or nitrous you will still have a small 2.4 four cylinder. I'm going to stick to the old saying there is no replacement for displacement on this one. I lost all interest in modifying my HHR for performance other than maybe a CAI, exhaust, and retune. If I want power I'll work on my Malibu.
I don't think he asked if it was practical, I think he asked if it was do-able.
There's plenty of street legal 11 second 4 banger cars around, so the old saying of "no replacement for displacement" doesn't really hold up anymore.

He asked if anyone else was thinking of doing the same thing he is thinking about. I pretty much answered no but I used more than one word. Street legal 11 second 4 cylinder.
Maybe with more work than the car is worth!

I would look at the NX kit from the SS 2.4 cobalt. Same motor, should be very similar application. Should fit fine with little modification.

Up until now... nothing out in the 'significant power adder' category for the 2.4L VVT to my knowledge. No boost, underhood/remote locate turbo- nor supercharge, NOR SPRAY. There have been a few of us watching a few manuf's such as Banks, etc... and wondering if anyone will attempt to boost the 2.4

There are 2 Cobalts SS's a 2.4 with VVT and the 2.0 Supercharged versions.
I know NX was working on a 2.4 SS cobalt kit, maybe it fell through.
