Cool Ram air?

I was wondering if anyone that has the air-aid intake has thought about putting a small scoop and cutting a hole in the hood to create a ram air. I have the CGS and as soon as I can i am going to change it up and experiment alittle with this idea. Any thoughts?

Glad to see you're posting again. Not a whole lot of the old members still active.

I'm looking into relocating my fogs and usinf the opening to accomplish something similar. Kinda like the old street rods used to take out the headlights and do it that way. Don't wanna be cutting into my hood.

I'm pretty handy so I figure a couple of well placed measurements and a hole saw should make the cutting part a cinch. Finding the right hood scoop that's not to large or sits to high may be the hard part. I still think this is the best site for HHR owners.

Check out the Dodge Ram intakes. They have one that runs down into the foglight area just like you want to do. Might give you a few ideas on how to go about it.

Check out captain howdy's pictures. I remember he was experimenting with that very idea.
