Tuning w/Trifecta Tune

I just have so much bad luck with almost everyone who's touched my car; one soap opera after another. So after not being able to get my local tuner to even look at this issues he has said he would address in the spring, I've moved on. Just can't anymore drama over my car.

Gave Vince a call, seems to know what he's talking about and has lots of experience with similar set-ups as mine. Especially with auto's which the local guy had very little experience with.

Got the tune and cables this week. (Bought the cables.) Loaded the tune Saturday and did three datalogs. Had one CEL, wrote it down for Vinve and cleared it. Already emailed vince back the logs for adjusting the tune.

Except for it not being done in real-time, don't see any real diff between this and a "street" tune. which is what I had.

Already one of the issues from the previous tune is gone. Under HARD acceleration, either from a standing start or low speed, car would go into "limp" mode and I'd lose all power. Very scary when you're pulling into traffic. Local guy couldn't figure out what was causing it, with the Trifecta Tune, it's GONE!!

Looking very forward to working with Vince and getting this thing moving, FAST!

Yup, thanks!

Back on my quest for 350whp. I'll get there, only money holds me back. Gonna have my HHR until it, or I, end up in a yard. So time is not an issue. LOL

I have a question about the Trifecta tune. I have been considering it for my 2009 HHH SS. However my car is currently in the shop for major engine work (bad camshaft end bearings, could mean a new engine). This is covered under the powertrain warrenty, but the sevice advisor said it would not be covered if I had a custom tune. He said any modification to the ECM would void the powertrain warrenty. Is this true?? If so a custom tune seems pretty risky and possibly expensive.

technically, they have to prove that it caused the failure, in the real world, yes, they will void the powertrain warranty

Damn. I guess I'll have to go with the safer (but more expensive) Stage1. I could not have afforded this current trip to the shop if it was on my dime.
